John "Jack" Carson

• Elected to School Committee 2008 
• Resident of Westerly for most of his life
• Graduate of Westerly High School (1963)
• Graduate of Springfield College (1967)
• Administrative Certificate from URI & PC
• Served as Administrator, Teacher, and Coach in the Westerly School System for 34 years
• Served on Principals Committee on Athletics/Middle Schools
• WHS Atheltic Hall of Fame (inducted 2006)
• RI Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame (1999)
• Instrumental in Organizing the Mentoring Program at Babcock Middle School
• Active in school reform effort in designating Babcock Middle School as a Carnegie School
